Trevor Merriden

Trevor is the founder and MD of Merriborn.

A skilled and qualified executive coach, he specialises in transformative leadership coaching for powerful and effective communication.

Alongside coaching, Trevor launched Merriborn as a content strategy and thought leadership consultancy. Its success has been based on his three decades of experience as a business journalist, author and editor – and followed on from his first executive board role, in which he helped to treble the turnover of a strategic communications consultancy from £1m to £3m over a three-year period.

With Merriborn, Trevor has experienced at first hand the excitement and challenges of starting and scaling a business from scratch. This led him to become an accomplished broadcaster and speaker, devoted to helping start-up and scale-up entrepreneurs find and build their confidence, and most notably through his popular ‘Merri-Cast’ podcast series of interviews with inspirational business leaders.

A particular strength, given his background, lies in Trevor’s ability to coach senior executives to connect and communicate as effectively as possible with all stakeholders in the organisation. Pragmatic, positive and friendly, Trevor gives leaders and businesses the confidence they need to find new clarity, move forward, and realise their full potential.

Charlotte Walter

Charlotte is the Solo Digital Planning, Content & Research Manager at Merriborn.

With expertise in research, content creation and administrative support as well as a sharp eye for detail, strong organisation skills and a pragmatic approach, Charlotte plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency of our business operations and the success of our clients.

Originally joining Merriborn in 2021 to gain industry experience, it quickly became clear that Charlotte and Trevor worked well together, ultimately leading to a full-time role in 2022.

Being detail-oriented, Charlotte oversees the editing, research and data management of content, ensuring each piece, be it for Merriborn or our clients, is polished and backed by relevant insights. She also drives the social media efforts of Merriborn and its clients by crafting engaging posts and managing LinkedIn outreach to expand professional networks.

She is also adaptable, evident in the creation of our company podcast ‘The Merri-Cast’, which she launched – despite no prior podcast experience – and continues to edit and distribute to this day.

Operationally, Charlotte plays a vital role in making sure everything runs smoothly, from invoicing and scheduling to file management and maintaining a systemised digital workspace. But most importantly, she commits to creating and fostering strong client relationships built on trust and reliability.
